History of Colbourne College
Advanced Educational Services was founded in 1996.  Academic operations began modestly on Church Street in Kingston with two lecturers and 35
students who were enrolled for the Caribbean Examination Council (CXC) classes.  Advanced Educational Services was later renamed Caribbean Life
International Institute in 2003, when the institution forged a meaningful and cooperative relationship with the Overseas Examination Council of Jamaica,
having been granted attached local centre status for the University of Cambridge International Examinations, a department of the prestigious University
of Cambridge, England.    This relationship was a mutually fruitful one and Caribbean Life International Institute became the leading Cambridge Centre
in Jamaica with impressive successes in the enrolment of high school students for the University of Cambridge International Diplomas in the areas of
Business and Travel and Tourism Management.  The college has successfully prepared about 4500 students entries since 2003 for the said University
of Cambridge International Diplomas, many of whom progressed into leading universities in Jamaica, USA, Canada and the UK.  Many of these
students have successfully ventured into industry at various levels, and in different fields.

Colbourne College was born out of the need for quality, tertiary education in Savanna-la-mar, Westmoreland. Planning for the Colbourne College
began in 2005 when the five members Board of Directors was appointed. Alongside the existing registration by the Ministry of Education, Colbourne
College was granted registration by the University Council of Jamaica in 2007 to manage a tertiary program.  A further 800 undergraduates entered
    between 2007-2011.

Colbourne College manages its educational programmes on our main campus at 6 Hillview Avenue in Halfway Tree; and a Distant Learning Programme
with tutorials at two distant sites - in Montego Bay, St. James at Verney House Hotel, 3 Leaders Avenue; and in Ocho Rios..

Colbourne College is set to welcome over 450 students for fall 2013, to whom we deliver Ofqual accredited programs and quality student support
services leading to UK undergraduate and postgraduate diplomas, facilitating advancement to the Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees.

in Halfway Tree.  The majority of the College’s students is drawn from Kingston and Portmore and, together, is approximately 80% of the current
student population of over 300 students.

    Under visionary leadership and supporting administration, the College is embarking on a new strategic planning process designed to;
